Separation
Mechanical separation equipment matched to flow rate and solids characteristics.
Solutions that assess solid and liquid digestate fractions together with analysis, processing and intended use.
Digestate is a resource stream containing nutrients. Its use as fertiliser or soil conditioner depends on feedstock, product analysis, processing requirements and intended application.

Digestate processing concept showing solid–liquid separation and fraction management.
Analysis of dry matter, nutrients, salinity and product safety parameters.
Mechanical separation of fractions according to the intended use.
Stabilisation, composting, drying or advanced liquid treatment where needed.
Storage, transport and agricultural application planning suited to product characteristics.
Equipment and process options are selected according to project inputs and target outputs.
Mechanical separation equipment matched to flow rate and solids characteristics.
Assessment of composting, drying and packaging options for the target product.
Storage, filtration and advanced processing options according to the intended use.
Nutrient recovery through analysis, mass balance and application planning.
| Input | Digestate flow, solids and source feedstocks |
|---|---|
| Analysis | N, P, K, pH, conductivity and suitability parameters |
| Product objective | Solid product, liquid product or on-site agricultural use |
| Logistics | Storage duration, transport distance and seasonal demand |
Product characteristics and use depend on analysis; the processing line is designed around the target product.
Not all digestate can automatically be marketed as a fertiliser. Product classification, analysis, processing needs and applicable suitability requirements must be determined separately.
Suitability is not assumed. Salinity, nutrient balance, suspended solids and hygiene must be assessed; treatment and controlled trials may be required.
